About Eye Library Suffolk

Eye Library is firstly a lending library for the town and surrounding area of Eye. You can order books in advance of your visit for collection. The library has a constant supply of all the latest editions. In addition the library is a community warm space offering computer access and A4 printing in black and white or colour for those who require these services. The Eye Community Fridge is housed in the entrance hall to help reduce food waste Room hire and other weekly community services are all a large part of the library as are the regular weekly and monthly events.

The Home Library Service

The Home Library Service delivers books and other items to people’s homes using a team of friendly volunteers.

The Home Library Service can visit anyone with a disability or mobility issue who can’t get to a library or visit the mobile library.

Our volunteers bring books and other library items directly to your home. They can also stay for a chat, providing much needed social interaction for many older or isolated people. The service can also be accessed by care homes.

DBS checks and references are carried out on all our volunteers.

Barclays Community Banking offer support each Wednesday, Citizens Advice are here with support on Friday. Computer access and help, printing and postage stamps available when open.

Suffolk Libraries announce that it has become the first UK library service to launch LinkedIn

Suffolk Libraries is excited to announce that it has become the first UK library service to launch LinkedIn Learning for its customers!

A new FREE service for library users in Suffolk, there are courses on IT, photography, social media, project management, marketing – even how to play the piano! The courses are a great way of learning new skills, whether it’s something to help your career or a creative skill you’d like to master.
