About the event
What impact will devolution have on business in Suffolk? Find out at an open online event on 14 March where you can hear directly from Matthew Hicks, Leader, Suffolk County Council, and have your say on the plans for our county!
In March 2024, Suffolk County Council is going out to consultation on a proposed devolution deal for the county which will see some powers and funding transfer from national to local government. It aims to ensure that decisions are made closer to the local people, communities, and businesses they affect.
MENTA has worked with the county council to create an opportunity for members to attend a virtual pre-consultation engagement event to find out more about the in-principle devolution deal agreed between Suffolk County Council and the government as the council would welcome your insights and perspectives before it goes out to consultation on the proposed deal.
The session will include an opportunity to ask questions and will last no more than 60 minutes.
We hope you will take this opportunity to find out what devolution could mean for you, your business, and for the county.
